After years of development, we are finally releasing our first pear brandy. Pears are a bit difficult due to having a small window between optimum ripeness and too far gone. We used Oregon Bartlett pears and aged for 2 years in used French Oak (former pinot noir casks) to avoid overpowering the delicate pear flavor. Stop by and check it out on Saturday, October 23, 2021 12-5PM at the distillery.
There is also a special fundraising event in conjunction with the Luckiamute Watershed Council. A lucky few will get to taste not only the 2019 which is being released, but also the 2018 eau-de-vie and 2020 which is still in cask. We'll give a quick talk on pears and the goings-on at L.W.C. There is a sliding scale donation for this event starting at $20/person. Spiritopia will match the donations and 100% of the money raised will go to the watershed council. Call or text Chris at 5419900337 to see if there are seats available (only 12 for each of 2 sittings on the 22nd and 23rd).
