1st Annual Community Cider Crush Update! 9/14/19 10-5PM

We are partnering with Luckiamute Watershed Council for the first annual Community Cider Crush. We have also worked with the EE Wilson Wildlife Area manager to allow special access to the underutilized apple trees in the reserve. Starting at 10AM, teams will form up at Spiritopia and then head out to EEW with fruit baskets and a team leader. Apples will be brought back to the distillery to be crushed and pressed into fresh cider. We have three presses reserved so volunteers can also try their hand at every step of the process if desired. All volunteers will get a free glass of cider, so bring the whole family. Adults 21 and over can also sample pommeau, the classic French libation of fresh cider plus apple brandy. You can also support the event by purchasing a glass of fresh cider for a minimum recommended donation of $2 or pommeau for $5. 100% of the donations will go to the LWC. We will also accept donations of apples or pears from your trees at home - please let us know if you need someone to help pick the fruit.
