I am very excited to announce the release of our first apple brandy. Most of our barrels go toward making apple liqueur, but there were a couple that seemed best suited to sipping straight. So, we went through the process and got approved by OLCC last week. This is a robust, flavorful spirit aged on charred American oak so it has a character more like a bourbon or whiskey than a typical brandy. We bottled at cask strength (104 proof) and since there are only two small barrels, we are only selling 375ml bottles at the distillery and events for now ($29.95). I wanted a unique look for the bottle, but the direct printing I liked required major tooling and minimum run sizes. So, I modified a screen printing fixture and we hand print the bottles ourselves. The closure is hand-dipped wax. It's a fun, hand-crafted feel and the spirit is bold and beautiful. Stop by the tasting room to check it out.
